    June 21, and they’re still striking. How do they manage, I wonder, what with having to put bread on the table an’ all.

    It’s becoming a lot clearer now; I understand that the unions have 21 days from today to accept the employer’s offer of 7,5%. Meanwhile, there will be no more negotiations. There are indications that some unions will accept the offer, but this doesn’t mean that the strike would then be officially over. This being a democratic process, there will have to be a majority of unions accepting, otherwise the deal’s off. Or something. Still complicated. Wait and see.
